Central Holt location with plentiful private parking (take that Byfords :) ), heated limestone and oak heated floors, a spa room made with Italian porcelain tiles and German furniture and Helo steam generator for steam and aromatherapy bathing, designer lighting solutions throughout, Spekva worktop (extremely expensive), Siemens appliances, open plan sitting room/kitchen with high-tech paints, fast wireless broadband, freesat TV with Orbitsound boom box, etc etc etc…
Bathroom is finally being tiled. We’re a step away from finishing the job, after 10 months of hard labour, stress and pirate management (as such are our builders).
Now ordering final bits like hair dryer, kettle, fridge, window stickers, and thinking which flowers to get.
This is the new apartment on the 30th May, and it is almost ready for furniture.
We had to stop for a short break in building work, as suppliers run out of hardibacker for bathroom tiling, light suppliers have run out of lights, kitchen suppliers run out of worktop, and plastic suppliers run out of plastic…
Hopefully we will have all those things before too long, and I am planning to start taking bookings for the first week of July onwards.
If we get all of the missing things in stock we estimate it would take one week to finish the build – all that remains is tiling the bathroom (everything is already plumbed in), fitting the rest of the skirting boards and the remainder of the worktop and giving everything a final coat of paint.
We already have the furniture and the TV.
Here are the latest pictures.
We had our first ever dinner party in the new apartment last Friday. Apartment is now being painted, boiler connected, limestone tiles and oak boards have been ordered to be installed in the next couple of weeks. All things going right we should be able to receive our first guests in June.
